Remote Arbitration in the Wake of COVID-19: The Seoul Protocol on Videoconferencing in International Arbitration

The Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB) has published the Seoul Protocol on Video Conferencing in International Arbitration.

The Protocol was first introduced at the Seoul ADR Festival in 2018,has been under discussion among arbitration practitioners since then. However  it was finally was published in March, 2020 in response to demand to continue critical services including dispute resolution services without prolonged disruptions during the recent COVID-19 global pandemic.

The Seoul Protocol, available here, is not designed to be a comprehensive guideline to conducting  international arbitration remotely but it contains useful advise, and KCAB invites feedback and comments from interested parties on the Protocol.
